Privacy: what this site collects, and what it does not
The short version: this site sets no cookies, has no accounts, carries no adverts and loads no tracking scripts. It collects very little, and this page says exactly what.

When you visit a page
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. To deliver a page and to protect the site from attacks, Cloudflare records each request: the page asked for, the time, the browser and the network address it came from. Those records are kept for 31 days. We use them to count visits, to see which pages are read and to spot attacks. We do not use them to identify anyone.
When you use the search box
The words you type are sent to our server so we can count which sellers people ask about. We do not store them in any file or database of ours. They appear in the hosting records described above, and nowhere else. Nothing you type is passed to any seller.
When you use the COA Checker
The certificate you upload is sent to OpenAI for one analysis and the result is shown to you. We do not keep the file and we do not show it to anyone. To hold the free checker to 30 checks a day for each visitor, a counter against your network address is kept for up to 24 hours, then it expires. A certificate can carry a name, an order number or an address. If yours does, cover it before you upload.
When you write to us
The contact form sends your email address and your message to our inbox through FormSubmit, a form-forwarding service. We use them to reply and to check the correction you have asked for. We keep a message for as long as it takes to deal with it, and for as long after as we need a record of why a page was changed.

All three are based in the United States, so this data leaves the UK. We do not sell data and we do not share it with sellers.
Why we are allowed to
We rely on our legitimate interest in running the site, keeping it secure and answering the people who write to us.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it and ask us to delete it. Write to the address above. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator.

The audits on this site are about businesses and what they publish. If a page about your business is wrong, or names a person where it should not, use the contact page and we will check it again.
