A long-acting growth-hormone-releasing analogue whose trial ended with a death. ConjuChem developed CJC-1295 in the 2000s. PubMed indexes 33 papers and 2 clinical-trial reports; ClinicalTrials.gov lists a single registered trial, ConjuChem's phase 2 in HIV-related visceral fat (NCT00267527).
Development stopped in July 2006 after a participant at an Argentine site died; the attending physician judged the likely cause to be undiagnosed coronary disease and unrelated to the drug, and ConjuChem halted the programme as a precaution. It never resumed.
Nothing sold as CJC-1295 today has a developer, a licence or a human safety record beyond that trial. The certificate is the only checkable fact about a vial.
