Selank was developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences and is registered as a medicine in Russia for anxiety. PubMed indexes 68 papers, 49 of them rat or mouse studies, and 3 clinical-trial reports, all from Russian groups.

Outside Russia there is nothing. No trial by a Western developer, no registration with the MHRA, EMA or FDA, and only 2 registered studies on ClinicalTrials.gov, neither by a drug company.
